Esta ciudadela se encuentra ubicada a unos 2430 m.s.n.m. y fue declarada Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1981 y nueva maravilla del mundo moderno en el 2007. Este complejo arquitectónico fue construido en tiempos del Inca Pachacútec.

DAY 01: Cusco In - City Tour + 4 Archaeological Ruins

Reception and welcome, then transfer to the chosen hotel.

13:30 hrs We pick you up from the hotel to make the City Tour.

You will visit the main square of Cusco. Most of the constructions preserve the colonial style.

Then, you will visit the Qoricancha temple, the highest expression of Inca architecture, it is also currently the Convent of Santo Domingo.

Next, you will visit the Cathedral, being the main church of Cusco, characterized by its Renaissance and colonial style.

Finally, you will visit the four ruins surrounding Cusco which are: Sacsayhuaman, great fortress, famous for its huge carved stones, Qenqo, center of worship to the god Puma, place where human sacrifices were made. Puca Pucara, red fortress, due to the color of the stones, and Tambomachay, archaeological site destined to the worship to the water where the head of the Inca Empire rested.

Return to Cusco.

DAY 02: Machu Picchu

Breakfast.

The guide will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the train station. Then, to board the train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes.

Take the bus to climb to Machu Picchu.

Arriving at the archaeological complex the guided tour will begin for a space of approximately 2 hours. You will observe the agricultural area, the urban sector, enter through the door to the temple of the sun, the stone quarries, the botanical garden, the Plaza of the Temples, three Windows, the solar or intihuatana clock, the sacred Rock, among others, then You will have a free time to appreciate the majestic place and take pictures.

After the tour of the main attractions of the Archaeological Sanctuary, you will board the bus to descend to Aguas Calientes, where you will have lunch waiting for the arrival of the return train and then you will go to Cusco.

Upon arrival we will be waiting for you at the train station to take you to your Hotel.

Breakfast.

If time permits, you can explore the city of Cusco personally.
