Río Hato Panama

Río Hato is one of the 10 townships that make up the district of Antón in the province of Coclé, Panama. With a population of approximately 15,000 inhabitants. According to tradition, the origin of its name is due to the fact that since colonial times this region was dedicated to livestock, an activity called herd at that time, also due to the proximity of rivers its name was associated to designate this region Río del Hato , later it was simplified until it was Río Hato. We emphasize that the Afro-colonial population predominates in this area, descendants of the slaves brought by the Spanish to work in the colonial era; in addition to this, there is the mestizo population. Río Hato has beautiful white sand beaches, as well as some spectacular hotels and resorts, and not only that, here you can do dozens of different activities, enjoy its gastronomy, its history and its culture, enjoy water sports, golf, excursions adventure, etc.
